LOCTITE® 243 Type: Medium-strength threadlocker for connections up to M36.
Application: To secure screws, nuts, and studs against loosening due to vibration, for example, on gearboxes, engines, and housings. Easy to apply due to thixotropic components.
Medium-strength threadlocker. Suitable for all metals, including passive substrates (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum, and surface-treated materials). Tolerates light contamination from industrial oils, such as engine oil, anti-corrosion oils, and cutting fluids. Prevents loosening of components due to vibration, such as pumps, gearboxes, or presses. Recommended when disassembly with hand tools is required for service purposes.
